"Trikatu" is a traditional Ayurvedic spice mix

It is used to improve digestion, promote metabolism, and aid in the elimination of toxins (removal of ama). "Trikatu" means "three spicy things" in Sanskrit and is made up of three spices: ginger and pepper. This carefully selected spice is powdered for ease of use, and can be added to hot water or used in cooking. The synergistic effects of the three spices are said to improve digestion and metabolism, strengthen internal organs, and boost the immune system, preventing infections like colds and allergies like hay fever.

Main ingredients

We wanted to incorporate as many high-quality Japanese ingredients as possible, so we blended ingredients from Tanegashima and Okinawa with ingredients from Malaysia, which has a long history of producing high-quality black pepper.

Tanegashima Ginger (Shunthi) – digestive aid, anti-inflammatory, pain-relieving

Okinawa Long Pepper (Pippali) – Strengthens the lungs and digestive system, has expectorant properties

Malaysian Black Pepper (Marika) – Boosts metabolism, flushes toxins, strengthens the immune system

■Main effects:

Promotes digestion : Increases digestive fire (agni) and aids in the digestion and absorption of food.

Detox : Removes ama (undigested matter and toxins) from the body.

Boosts metabolism : Increases metabolism and activates the body's energy circulation.

Relief of colds and coughs : Clears phlegm and clears the respiratory tract.

Anti-obesity : Supports fat metabolism and contributes to weight management.

■How to use:

Add 1/4 teaspoon to 100cc of warm water and drink it as soon as you wake up in the morning.

It can be used as a substitute for pepper in cooking.

Excessive intake may be too irritating to the stomach and intestines, causing gastritis and a burning sensation in the mouth.
