Tempeh is a fermented soybean food that originated in Indonesia.

Rusto, who came to Shiga from Indonesia, makes tempeh with his family using selected soybeans and pure water from Shiga. For ZeroWaste Kyoto, he wraps tempeh in kraft paper and produces easy-to-use round tubes.
Food compatibility
It has little odor or bitterness and pairs well with oil, so it can be used in any Japanese, Western, or Chinese cuisine.
It can be cooked deliciously by any of the following methods: boiling, baking, or frying.
It is also eaten as a snack.
